Original New Yorker cartoon “Bubble Wrap”

This is an original, one of a kind piece of art. Drawn by cartoonist Joe Dator for The New Yorker magazine, and published in the issue dated June 19, 2017.

It depicts a man and a woman at a fence. Behind the fence is a herd of cute animals whose skin is bubble wrap. In the background they are being led up a ramp and into a barn where they are skinned, and their skin rolled up and loaded into a truck that says “BubbleCo Packing Supplies” on its side. The caption reads ""Now that I've seen this, I don't think I can ever enjoy popping bubble wrap again."

It was drawn in pen and ink with ink wash on vellum-finish bristol. Its dimensions are 9" x 12"
